Terms of Use
Last updated July 13, 2026
Welcome to Family.Vote, an initiative of American Principles Project (“APP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of family.vote (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your use of the Site. You must not:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site or the servers or networks connected to it;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or any systems or networks connected to it;
- Submit false information or impersonate any person or entity.
Voter registration
Family.Vote helps you check registration status and directs you to your state’s official voter-registration resources. We are not a government agency or election authority. We do not register you to vote — official registration and any updates happen through your state’s official portal or election office.
Registration-status information is provided on a best-effort basis and may be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm your registration directly with your state or local election office.
Household submissions
If you add or invite household or family members, you represent that you have their permission to provide their information to us and to have Family.Vote contact them. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit.
Donations and contributions
Where the Site offers the ability to make a political contribution, the following apply. By contributing, you certify that:
- You are a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (green card holder);
- You are at least 18 years old;
- The contribution is made from your own funds and on your own credit card, not those of another person or entity;
- You are not a federal government contractor; and
- The funds are not being provided by a foreign national.
If you select a recurring contribution, you authorize a charge of the selected amount at the stated interval until you cancel. To cancel a recurring contribution, change an amount, or request a refund, contact [email protected].
[Paid-for-by disclaimer to be finalized by counsel before donations launch.]

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Site without our prior written consent.
User submissions
If you submit content to the Site (for example, feedback or the information of household members), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and process that content to operate and improve Family.Vote. You are solely responsible for your submissions, and we may remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.
Third-party links
The Site links to third-party websites, including official state election and registration portals. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those sites. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.

Changes to these Terms
We may update or modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
